Crystal Palace is steep streets of tall Victorian villas and terraces, much of it in or around conservation areas near the park. Those high roofs make the loft the obvious place to add a bedroom — often with a view — while the long rear gardens suit a kitchen extension. I work across SE19 and the Triangle, opening up period homes without losing the character that makes them worth owning.
